DANCING FOR A CURE CAPE COD " 7th ANNUAL 5K DANCE MARATHON Feb. 4th, 2017 5-9 PM
Mashpee High School Gym 500 Barnstable Rd. Mashpee (Snow date Feb.5 12-5 PM)
Hundreds of dance enthusiasts of all ages from on and off the Cape, will dance for 4 hours in Mashpee to raise funds for vital research of breast and ovarian cancer at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. (observers also welcome)
More than 10 area dance, musical, school, and community groups will make special appearances with short performances during Marathon water breaks. State representative David Vieira will help kick off the evening.
Some of the groups attending; Cape Cod Country Kickers, Center Stage Dance of Plymouth and Sagamore, Beth Walsh Dance Centre of Osterville, Mashpee Community Connections Performers, Dream Studios Cape Cod, Turning Pointe Dance Studio of Falmouth, Harper Dance of Mashpee, Dream Studios of Yarmouth, Sandwich Soul,Tabor Academy of Mattapoisset, Cape Cod Ballroom Dancers, Cape Cod Tango, The Riverview School of Sandwich, and The Kanaley School of Irish Dance, BLAST Fitness Raffles, refreshments, and numerous trophy awards will be included at the event. With the help of the Capes #1 DJ, Cape Tunes, Honorary Teams will dedicate dances to their special someone. Marathoners can design T-shirts to honor cancer victims and loved ones.
