    A new, exciting initiative at the Cultural Center, the Revelry Festival will include an Art Marathon in which 15 of the Capes most dynamic and talented artists will spend two days creating work in response to a poem by Pablo Neruda. They will offer additional work for sale during the weekend. The pieces they create at Revelry will be for sale through a silent auction.

The Marathon Artists are Craig Caldwell, John Cira, Betsy Payne Cook, Joe Diggs, Sarah Dineen, Abby Fay, Kenneth Hawkey, Sarah Holl, Mary Moquin, Richard Neal, Suzanne Packer, Jackie Reeves, Cris Reverdy, Odin Smith, and James Wolf.

Also, a Makers Marketplace at which a group of artisans and artists will demonstrate and/or discuss and sell their work. These will include members of the Cape Cod Wood Turners, working on lathes; sculptor Stephen Lynch, working with wood and copper; Christine Ernst, a bespoke metalwork artist; Elena Tobin, a textile artist working at a loom; glass artists Carolyn Ferrell; wood sculptor Sophia Dress; Ron Dean, Holly Heaslip, and/or other potters taking turns at a wheel; muralist Tim Ellis Cole; Joyce Utting Schutter, one of the regions finest paper artists; and Chocolatier Pam Matteson.

During Revelry, the Centers resident artists will also be at work in their studios. The public is invited to watch everything that will be taking place, bid on art, shop for art, and participate in various activities. Refreshments will be available. And resident artists will hold open studios.

The festival will conclude on Sunday evening with a wrap party with complimentary refreshments. The silent auction winners will be announced at that point. The entire festival is free and open to the public. You will not want to miss this chance to immerse yourself in on-the-spot, real-time creation and expression.

Schedule:

Saturday, November 5: vendors open and art taking place from 10am-5pm

Sunday, November 6: vendors open and art taking place from noon to 5pm. Wrap party from 5-7pm.

The entire festival is free and open to the public.
