As a way to celebrate music, art and nature, the Harwich Conservation Trust will host the fourth annual Wildlands Music & Art Stroll on Saturday, with local musicians and artists featured on a walk through the woods.

The event was inspired by the original Piano in the Woods a piano mysteriously abandoned on Harwich land in 2009, set up as if it had just been played. That instrument, now brought inside by the Harwich Historical Society, will be one of many, including guitars and accordions, brought outdoors Saturday to play blues, classical and folk music. Performers will be spread out around the 66-acre Robert F. Smith Cold Brook Preserve (formerly Bank Street Bogs) in Harwich Port.

At the same time, members of the Guild of Harwich Artists will paint the landscape live, plein-air, throughout the area while visitors watch. Those paintings will be available for purchase through a drawing held during the stroll.

Among the local musicians who will be on hand: Jordan Renzi, Kathleen Healy, Jennifer Stratton with Gerry Mack, Just Plain Folk and Tom Leidenfrost. The Celtic Kids, Harwich siblings Jonathan and Bailey Ford playing Irish penny-whistle, fiddle and more, will also participate.

The Local Scoop ice cream truck will serve ice cream pops and beverages for sale along the trail.
