Movimento II Contemporary Dance is a collaborative dance event of international and regional dancers, most of them working on Cape Cod. Under the artistic direction of Leda Muhana (Brazil) and David Iannitelli (USA), Movimento II is the second edition of a project that started in 2015 and gathers choreographers and dancers from different countries exploring the body in alternative architectonic spaces. The evening begins with choreographies on the stairway and benches of the front garden, followed by dance pieces in the hall inside the building, and finishing in the back garden. The audience moves through the space as the concert proceeds immersing themselves in the contemporary dance interpretations of Latin American music among others. Guest Artists include Antonia Stephens (Canada), Eveline Carle (Canada), Emily Mower (USA), JC Stahl (USA), as well as the Brazilians Maju Passos, Marcelo Galvão, Marvan Carlos, among others
MOVIMENTO II offers an exciting and eclectic dance experience suitable for all ages, and will be presented at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall on July 29th and 30th at 7:30pm.
