Reception at the Cape Cod Museum of Art,May 5th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Join us May 5th for a free reception, backstage tours of Cape Playhouse, and a preview of some of the historic material to be included in the upcoming Cape Cod Museum of Art exhibition, '90 Years of Summer Theater: The Cape Playhouse and the Straw Hat Circuit.'

In this collaborative preview event, sponsored by The Guild of the Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Friends of the Cape & Islands Theater Coalition, you will see some artifacts from The Cape Playhouse archives, have an opportunity to explore the Museum's 35th-Anniversary multi-gallery tribute to Harry Holl, and then walk, pedal, drive or coast over to the Cape Playhouse to get a rare personal backstage tour of The Playhouse's inner workings.

Tours start at 5:30, 5:45, 6:00, and 6:15 pm leaving from the front entrance of the Playhouse.

The reception and exhibit preview will run continuously from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Museum.

A free drawing with many prizes will follow back at the CCMoA, including: four tickets to The Last of The Red Hot Lovers (a comedy at the Playhouse from June 7-18), A free Friends of the Theater family membership, a free CCMoA Membership, Guild Membership, and more.

Hors doeuvres and refreshments will also be served throughout the evening, well have a Playhouse trivia game, and Museum docents will be available to answer questions about the Museum.
