Description:
The Museum will hold its fourth annual Oyster Talk and Tasting on Friday, August 28 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
The event will include a talk by local oyster growers Eric Matzen and Pete Chase, two of the young men who have pioneered oyster aquaculture on the Falmouth shore of Buzzards Bay. Eric and Pete will describe the benefits and challenges of growing oysters on the Cape and give a demonstration of how to successfully and safely open oysters.
After the talk, attendees will get to taste oysters from several different locales.
Beer and wine will also be served.
$30 - members $40 - non-members
The Oyster Talk has sold out each year and we have had to turn people away, so we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Come by the Museum or call. If you call, someone will take your credit card information and have your tickets held for you at the door. The cost is $30 for museum members and $40 for non-members. Contact the museum for more information.
