The Truro Public Library and Sustainable CAPE will host a seed swap party for all gardeners as an opportunity to share seeds and knowledge in an informal setting.

Attendees are asked to bring surplus heirloom seeds to share, making sure they know the crop type, variety name and date of harvest, packaging or sale. More detailed varietal descriptions and growing instructions can be useful for beginning gardeners.

Attendees are asked not to bring seeds collected from hybrid plants or GMO seeds and are reminded that older seeds may not be viable.

The library will supply small packets and blank labels for seeds.
