The Cape Cod Sax Quartet Winter Concert Tour
The Cape Cod Sax Quartet features some of Cape Cods most notable saxophonists: Bruce Abbott, Berke McKelvey, Ryder Corey, Maurice Soque and Nicholas Suchecki.
- Saturday January 10 - Cultural Center of Cape Cod at 7:30PM
- Saturday January 17 - Wellfleet Preservation Hall at 7:30PM
- Sunday, January 18 - Cape Cod Museum of Art at 2:30PM
Concert Note: "A sax quartet usually features one of each of the four main types of saxophones: soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone. This instrumentation lets the different abilities and sonorities of each individual saxophone shine, while presenting the saxophonists with more unusual challenges and roles. Saxophone ensembles are regarded as an efficient way to focus on developing communication and listening skills among musicians.Throughout the show, we will also teach the audience about the saxophone, including its roles in different musical settings, the various parts of the instrument, and the more unusual types of saxophones, including the 6 feet and 4 inches tall, 45 pound contrabass sax. Not only will you have fun, you will also learn something!"
