Description:
The Spirit of America Band and Barnstable High School will present the sixth Annual Day of Percussion from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the high school, 744 W. Main St., Hyannis.
Clinics will be offered in marching percussion, world percussion, drum-set, historical drumming and contemporary percussion by percussionists Gerald Myles (Cirque du Soleil, U.S. Army Volunteers), Damon Grant (freelance percussionist for Madonna, Stefon Harris and John Mayer), Eduardo Leandro (artist-in-residence at Stony Brook University), Colin McNutt (The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps) and Willard J. Bill Putnam (U.S. Association of Rudimental Drummers).
Admission is free and open to participants of all ages. A free lunch and snacks will be provided
