The Falmouth Local Emergency Planning Committee is hosting a free Family Emergency Preparedness and Fire Prevention Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gus Canty Recreation Center, 790 Main St., Falmouth.
More than 60 organizations including Cape Cod Disaster Animal Response Team, Cape Cod Medical Reserve Corps, American Red Cross and Amateur Radio Emergency Service will be on hand.
Besides informational displays, there will be two 30-minute presentations/demonstrations every half hour on such topics as emergency supply kits, preparing the elderly, energy efficiency and alternative food sources.
Children's activities will include an outdoor Touch A Truck event and entertainment, along with free popcorn, hot dogs, pizza and ice cream
