Wildlands Music & Art Stroll
|
Description:
Harwich Conservation Trust will host its second annual Wildlands Music & Art Stroll from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bank Street Bogs Nature Preserve in Harwich Port. Inspired by a mysterious piano discovered on Harwich conservation land in 2009 that received international media attention, the stroll will showcase local musicians playing jazz, classical and folk music on the actual piano in the woods. Musicians will also be scattered throughout the trust's 66-acre preserve playing guitar, mandolin, accordion and other instruments. Members of the Guild of Harwich Artists will be painting the landscape throughout the preserve. Food and beverages will be offered for sale. Admission: $5 donation. Event parking will be at the Harwich Elementary School at 263 South Street in Harwich and guests will be shuttled from there to the preserve. Rain date: Sunday
