    "Logan's Run" 5K Run/Walk
Who was Logan?
Logan Dunne, a CCLCS alumnus, passed away on January 4th, 2013 after a five year journey with neuroblastoma. Logan had a passion for school and loved learning. He was a gifted athlete and participated on every school sports team. Although looked to as a natural leader, Logan exemplified what it meant to be a team player. He was an avid surfer and snowboarder and twice completed the National Seashore's Junior Lifeguard Program. When Logan was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare type of pediatric cancer, in 2007 as a freshman, he brought his stamina and persistence from athletics to his aggressive treatment. Math, science and psychology were Logan's favorite subjects and he intended on studying engineering in college. Typical of his credo that every experience counts, he donated his body to science; his cells have been successfully cultivated and are being used in research labs to discover new treatments. A true inspiration for others, Logan once wrote, "I wake up, work harder, laugh deeper, and dream bigger than the day before. That is what success is."
Logan requested that donations be made in his honor to the CCLCS Education Foundation, which planted the seed for a brand new field on our nine acre campus. What would have been an otherwise massive financial undertaking, Logan's legacy made possible: the new field is now a reality for our school. We are eternally grateful to Logan and his family and would like to honor him with a 5K race. Proceeds will continue to go towards the creation and upkeep of our athletic facility. Please join us on Saturday, September 27th at 9:30 as we run and remember Logan.
