Description:
Join a Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary naturalist for a discovery walk on the beach. This program is great for all ages! We will use dip nets and magnifiers to search for swimming, flying, and burrowing wildlife on the beach at low tide.We will also explore tidepools behind the barrier beach and talk about nesting Piping Plovers and Least Terns, both of which are listed as rare species in Massachusetts. Please wear closed-toed, closed heel shoes that you dont mind getting sandy and wet, and bring gear that will help protect you from the sun. Please meet at the Red River Beach parking lot at least five minutes before the program is scheduled to begin.
