Description:
Every few years, legendary conductor John Philip Sousa makes an appearance on the Cape, performing some of his famed marches and compositions along with his band.
But Sousa died in 1932, and his band broke up soon thereafter. So how is this possible?
Harwich resident John P. Hagon makes it possible. On Sunday, with the help of the 45-member Cape Cod Concert Band, director Hagon will once again transform himself into the March King best known as the composer of The Stars and Stripes Forever and The Washington Post march and put on an re-created Sousa Band concert called John Philip Sousa LIVES!
