Description:
    filmArt: Renoir (2012)
After being wounded in World War I, Jean (Vincent Rottiers), son of the great Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir (Michel Bouquet), and a future cinema auteur himself, returns home to convalesce. A triangle soon arises when they both fall for the same young woman. What beguiles us is the chance to be with these people at that time, by means of a picture that is so sympathetically acted and so pleasant to look at. Stanley Kaufmann, The New Republic. 111 minutes. In French; subtitled. Directed by Gilles Bourdos.
