Celebrating advent is one of the most important traditions of the Episcopal church. Members of Saint Barnabas Memorial Episcopal church in Falmouth worked hard to make this advent special for Falmouth residents and visitors by creating a Lights of Advent display on the church grounds, adding joy to peoples lives during the dark days of the pandemic. Lights will illuminate the church windows, Memorial Garden, parish house, labyrinth, trees, paths and lawns. A traditional Christmas tree will stand in the Memorial Garden, with a circle of donated Christmas trees decorated with memory lights greeting visitors as they enter the church grounds. To remember family or friends, people can donate tree lights for $15 a strand by contacting the church office at 508-548-3863. Messages of joy, hope and loveoffering encouragement to visitors will be placed throughout the campus.
