Author talk explores suffragette history
The 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, has inspired several new books, including Mr. President, How Long Must We Wait? by Tina Cassidy. As part of a series at Falmouth Museums on the Green, Cassidy will talk about her story of 25-year-old suffragette Alice Paul and how her march of 8,000 supporters upstaged President Woodrow Wilson on the day before he took the presidential oath of office in 1913.
When: 2 p.m. Saturday
Where: Falmouth Museums on the Green Cultural Center, 55 and 65 Palmer Ave.
