The Grammy Award-nominated, Boston-based Skylark Vocal Ensemble will make Cape Cod part of its fall tour with concerts by its a cappella chamber quartet: soprano Sarah Moyer, mezzo-soprano Clare McNamara, tenor Nathan Hodgson and bass/baritone Peter Walker.
The programs are called Fairest Isles: Exploring the British Part Song, with music from Great Britain, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The program is described as playful part-songs, stunning polyphony and Celtic ballads that will include works by Edward Elgar, Gustav Holst, Thomas Morley, Benjamin Britten, William Byrd and others.
