Description:
"Each week in July and August the Nantucket Musical Arts Society offers a free, informal talk one day before a scheduled concert. They feature musicians playing excerpts from the works they will perform, as well as a great deal of discussion about the piece and their performance of it. The sessions offer an excellent chance for music lovers of all ages to chat with the artists about their craft. Greta Feeney and Griffin MacMahon will perform a full concert on Tues., July 30 at 8 pm at the First Congregational Church. Soprano Greta Feeney is a Nantucket native as well as Julliard graduate. She holds a doctorate from SUNY Stonybrook and currently splits her time between performing and teaching. Griffin MacMahon is also a Julliard graduate and currently serves as organist and choir director at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Edgartown, MA." - Nantucket Atheneum
