Description:
The glass community lost an esteemed member of the glass community last year, Edward Poore. The Sandwich Glass Museum is pleased to present A Cut Above - A Tribute to Edward Poore, a special exhibit highlighting the work of this talented individual. He was a gifted glass cutter, and engraver. Ed began a fascination with paperweights, a fascination that he turnned into a career secializing in the restoration of antique and contemporary paperweights. He was also responsible for creating unique cutting designs for leading contemporary artists including Debbie Tarsitano, and David Graeber. Along with the cutting of glass paperweights, Ed Poore created cut glass sculptures of his own design, as well as new engraving patterns. A truly compelling exhibition. Opens July 1 thrugh October 27, 2019.
