50 Great Chefs and their final meals!!
In her book "My Last Supper" Melanie Dunea's photographs and asks 50 great chefs worldwide what their last meal on Earth would be, what guests, the setting, what music would be played.
We will be doing these meals twice a month and be covering great Chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Lidia Bastianich, Charlie Trotter, Eric Ripert, Lydia Shire, Helene Daroze and 44 others!! We will start off with the legendary Jacques Pepin. When asked how long his last meal would last he said "We would cook, drink and eat together until the end- weeks or months later- when I would die from the peche de gourmandise (sin of gluttony)!!
We will dine on Pheasant pate, Mollet eggs with Iberico ham, roast squab with peas and endive and finish with fresh seasonal fruits with buttery crepes and apricot jam.
We will wash this down with Sancerre, Beaujolais, Hermitage and of course bubbles.
