Two seminars will be held. The first will be Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 PM at Agway of Orleans (20 Lots Hollow Rd.). The second will be Saturday, March 30 at 11 AM at Agway of Dennis (686 Rt. 134).

Caughey, author of the award-winning blog Tillys Nest, will lead an engaging talk geared for both novice and seasoned chicken keepers. Shell cover the basics of starting a backyard flock, including breed selection, where to purchase baby chicks, egg know-how, poultry nutrition, housing needs, predator protection, gardening with the flock and the many rewards that chickens bring.

Following the seminar, shell sign copies of her two books  A Kids Guide to Keeping Chickens and How To Speak Chicken.
