Jimmy Tingle a hilarious comedian, a political satirist, commentator and was a 2018 democratic candidate for LT Governor in Massachusetts. In the 2018 primary on September 4th, he received 41.3% of the vote for Lt Governor.
His December 28th show at Wellfleet Preservation Hall will delve into what inspired him to run for political office in 2018. It will be an insightful, compelling and very funny and hopeful look at all aspects of his very serious campaign.
Tingle has worked as a humorist and commentator for 60 Minutes II and MSNBC and has appeared on The Tonight Show, CNN, Conan OBrien, and Fresh Air with Terry Gross and in his own HBO half-hour comedy special.
Jimmy is a 2010 graduate of Harvards Kennedy School of Government and was that years graduate school commencement speaker.
Theatrical credits include writing, performing and producing four one-person shows. He also wrote and produced the documentary film, Jimmy Tingles American Dream, which aired on over 60 stations nationwide on PBS.
Tingle has the rare distinction of winning Boston Magazines Best of Boston in the stand-up comedy category and for best alternative theater as the producer and artistic director of Jimmy Tingles OFF BROADWAY Theater in Somerville.
Jimmys latest project is a new a social enterprise Humor for Humanity which aspires to raise spirits, funds and awareness for nonprofits, charities and social causes.
