Its fast, its fun, its family-friendly and its FREE! Mark your calendars for Saturday September 8, 2018 for the 18th Annual Seaside Le Mans The Race for the Cape Cod Community.
The race begins at noon as thousands gather to watch this annual 4-hour endurance race of European-style Formula One race karts driven by local sponsors on a one-quarter mile outdoor track around Mashpee Commons.
The action never stops as teams change drivers, refuel, pass one another and race around corners and along straightaways.
The event includes free viewing either trackside or from the infield reached by a pedestrian bridge spanning the racetrack.
Music, entertainment, childrens activities and a new volunteer bike building area combine with the many shops and restaurants of Mashpee Commons to provide every member of the family with something interesting to see or do.
Beneficiaries of the 2018 race are Alzheimers Family Support Center of Cape Cod, Cape Cod Healthcare, Cape Cod Childrens Place, Cape Cod Theatre Company Home of the Harwich Junior Theatre and Dream Day on Cape Cod.
