WHAT: Outermost Contra Dance WHEN: Friday, June 15, 2018 WHERE: Payomet Performing Arts Center, 29 Old Dewline Road, Truro, MA 02666 CALLER: John Alden MUSICIANS: Jacqueline Schwab and Amy Larkin Suggested donation is $10. $20 maximum per group. Come enjoy our last contradance of the season in the wonderful outdoor ambiance of the Payomet Performing Arts Center at Highland Center, Cape Cod National Seashore. Local favorite caller John Alden will lead us through contras, squares and mixers, danced to the lively music from the renowned pianist Jacqueline Schwab and local favorite dance fiddler, Amy Larkin. Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. If youre new to contra dance, be sure to get in on the early dances for the basic moves. And dont miss out on our welcoming and delicious potluck at 6. Outermost Contra is one of many contradances on the Cape, and was organized in December of 2014. The contra dance is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels.
