The Xylophonia ragtime marimba band uses percussion in its aim to keep the beat going through its performances of some of ragtimes iconic, upbeat tunes.
The quintet, formed about three years ago, is now bringing the lively, energetic musical form to audiences on Cape Cod, with a performance Wednesday at Cotuit Center for the Arts.
XYLOPHONIA is a group of 5 professional percussionists who perform these famous xylophone solos accompanied by four players on two marimbas. (The group takes its name from the title of one of Joseph Greens famous compositions.)
