Cape Cod Chorale begins its 35th year of singing What Sweeter Music: Music of the Season. The concert features the following works:
Magnificat Durante Music of John Rutter, Handel, Lauridsen, Mendelssohn Sing-along carols arranged by David Willcocks
Also, the audience will be invited to sing the 2nd annual Pop-Up Hallelujah! If you have sung in a chorus or choir and know Handels famous Hallelujah chorus from Messiah, you are invited to join the Chorale on stage and sing this beloved piece. Bring your Messiah score, or we will provide the music for this chorus.
All works are accompanied by strings, brass, piano, and timpani and feature soprano Sierra Marcy; Alto, Cape Cod native, Ashley Wade; Tenor Sean Lair, and well-known Cape Cod baritone, John Murelle. Cape Cod Chorale is directed by Danica A. Buckley, Artistic Director and Conductor, and accompanied by Cathy Bonnett, piano.
