"We welcome you to a sumptuous celebration of the Baroque giant Johann Sebastian Bach. The many highlights include the 'Brandenburg Concerto No. 5'; our passionate principal cellist, Jacques Lee Wood, performing the 'Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1'; and 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring,' featuring the GRAMMY-nominated vocal sensation Skylark, an ensemble that creates a vocal tapestry with their intricate sound. We also go 'forth' to hear modern interpretations of Bach, including Leopold Stokowski's famous re-imagining of Bach's 'Toccata and Fugue' (heard in Disney's Fantasia) and Anton Webern's 'Ricercar' from Bach's The Musical Offering."
