Jaffa (Israel - 2009)
An official selection at the Cannes and Toronto International Film Festivals, Jaffa is set in the Israeli city of the same name. Mali, an Israeli, and Toufik, a Palestinian, have secretly been in love for years. Mali discovers she is pregnant and she and Toufik quietly plan to marry. Tensions mount between Mali's brother and Toufik, making life difficult since they all work for Mali's father, Reuben.
