Description:
November 14 LEO BLANCHETT Perennial Propagation Leo is the owner and propagator of Blanchette Gardens, Carlisle, MA, a family run nursery begun in 1981.The nursery specializes in rare and unusual perennials. Leo has lectured across the US, in Japan and in Canada and has been written up in numerous publications. He is he winner of the Silver Metal from the MA Horticultural Society and the Bronze Metal from the ARS. In addition to a discussion of seed sowing root cuttings, stem cuttings and division, a few unique techniques will be featured including species Peonies from root cuttings, notching of Trillium, rossing of native orchids. There should be something of interest for everyone.
