Description:
The Cape Community Orchestra presents a varied program of classical and popular music. The program will feature a new symphony by contemporary composer Robert Smith, the "Odyssey" noted for its imaginative percussion and wind effects that tell the stories recounted in Homer's epic poem. Additional classical works include selections from Aida and LaTraviata by Verdi, The Entrance March from the "Gypsy Baron" by Johann Strauss Jr., Chopin's "Minute Waltz" and Mozart's "Sleigh Ride". A "Salute to Broadway" presents a medley of popular show tunes.
