As we approach our Thanksgiving holiday, join CCMNH volunteer naturalist, Irwin Schorr, for an enlightening and fun-filled program on the history of turkeys, the myths surrounding them, and their importance to Americans as a Thanksgiving meal.
The discussion will encompass a general talk about the difference between wild and domestic turkeys, was the turkey really part of the Pilgrims meal, why do turkeys have both dark and white meat, will they really drown in a rain storm, and how did Wild Turkey Bourbon get its name?
All you ever wanted to know about turkeys but were afraid to ask!!!
