Ever wondered what those mushrooms are that pop up in lawns after a rainstorm? Or what are the names of those growing in the woods?

The Cape Cod Mushroom Club is hoping to answer those questions, and more, at its Mushroom Fair, on Sunday, October 27, from 11 to 4 PM at the West Barnstable Community Hall, 2377 Meeting House Way, at the corner of Route 149 and Lombard Avenue (near the intersection of Routes 149 and Route 6A).

The public is invited to see and learn about many of the more common mushrooms on Cape Cod, what mushrooms do, the ways they can be used, all in an informal setting.

There is no admission fee; donations would be appreciated, however. Bring Your Friends and your Fungi (kid friendly, handicapp accessible)
