Description:
    Join Ellen Berkland,Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation's State Archaeologist, for a look at the methods and tools that are used to uncover stories from the past. Ellen will share information on important discoveries from around the state, as well as the latest technologies and techniques used by archaeologists in the field today. Learn how the Cape's rich history is still being discovered and what can be learned from ancient shell middens that local Native American's left behind. After the talk, visit a traditional Wampanoag wetu(wigwam) outside the visitor center and follow the trail to historic Bay View Cemetery
