This two day event brings together locals and visitors alike for a weekend full of hometown flavor and big time fun! The 'Fest is produced by Wellfleet Shellfish Promotion and Tasting, or SPAT, a non-profit organization devoted to fostering a greater understanding of the town's shellfishing industry and made possible through collaboration with the Town of Wellfleet, the support of many generous sponsors, the area shellfishermen and a dedicated group of volunteers.
"Over 75 artisans, 16 food vendors, 12 raw bars and 13 community organizations "Live Music performed by Crabgrass, Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys, The Rip It Ups, Link Montana and The Incredible Casuals. "Family Fun Area featuring educational activities, crafts, moonbounces, clowns, face painting and performances geared for the young at heart! "Educational programs including a locally filmed documentary about shellfishermen, Barbara and Clint Austin "Culinary programs, Taste the Terroir and Merroir; Cooking demo and Book Signing by Phillip Hunt of Winslows Tavern and John Carafoli author of Cape Cod Chefs Table in which Winslows is featured. "Recreational activities such as nature walks, oyster reef tours, road races, a dance party and a skateboard competition. "Free ocean beach parking and shuttle bus transportation into town "And of course, the Annual Oyster Shuck-Off competition
FREE parking with convenient shuttle bus transportation directly to the Fest.
Please go to the following beaches in order of which they are listed: Newcombs Hollow Beach, White Crest Beach and LeCounts Hollow Beach (Maguire Landing). Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes and drop off at Town Center. Limited handicap parking will be offered at the Mayo Beach parking area and a wheel chair accessible shuttle will be available. All parking is subject to availability so please carpool to reduce congestion. Please note that some private businesses and municipal lots such as the Town Marina charge a fee for parking. Please consider our neighbors by not parking in unauthorized lots, drives or town streets. The Town of Wellfleet will ticket or in some cases tow vehicles in invalid parking spaces. Please no pets, only service animals will be allowed into festival grounds. Do not leave animals in your parked cars. Absolutely no outside alcohol will be allowed into the Fest
Admission is $5 for a one day ticket or $8 for a two pass. Children 12 and under are free.
