    Where is Cape Cods Smallest Historic One Room School? Mashpee One Room School House, Another Time and Place. Go to the Community Park on Route 130 in Mashpee and you will find it. Learn about Mashpees unique history and what it might have been like for a mid 1800s student being tested in his ability to cipher under the stern eye of the schoolmaster. Frank Lord is President of the Mashpee One Room Schoolhouse Preservation Council, Inc. He is also the current Schoolmaster and will describe the roll that the schoolhouse played not only in educating Wampanoag children but also in the political upheaval referred to in 1833 as The Indian Revolt. Frank is a retired middle school geography teacher and guidance counselor. He is a member of the Mashpee Historical Commission, the Mashpee Community Preservation Committee and one of the Tales of Cape Cod Board of Directors. In 2009 he received the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award for his commitment to the Mashpee One Room Schoolhouse.
