Boston-based MitoAction.org will hold its sixth annual Energy Walk & 5K Run for Mitochondrial Disease on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Castle Island in South Boston. The event attracts patients, families, and community supporters from across New England in an effort to raise awareness of this devastating disease. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the 5K at 9:30 and the walk at 9:45. Afterward, enjoy the kids tent, a meet and greet area, raffles, music, food, and fun.
