Barnstable Land Trust and Heritage Museums & Gardens have partnered to offer an exciting family nature hike! Families of all ages are invited to see the wild side of Heritage as we ignore the paved walkway and hike the nature trails! Participants will be led by a Heritage staff member as we hike the bog trails, through the forest, next to Shawme Lake, and visit several of our famous gardens, all to discover various plants, trees, animals, and signs of animals. Along the way we will complete several games, experiments, and craft projects, all ending with a ride on the antique carousel and a visit to Hidden Hollow: A Nature Discovery Center! This is a perfect way to celebrate National Take a Child Outside Week! Fee: $5 per person for Barnstable Land Trust or Heritage members; $7 per person to general public.
