Description:
The abundance and abandon of the fall season as portrayed by composers ranging from Baroque to contemporary.

Jung-Ho Pak, Conductor Lindsay Deutsch, Violin

Alexander Glazunov - Antonio Vivaldi - Astor Piazzolla - Paul Salerni - Piotr Tchaikovsky - Overflowing goblets of bacchanal and wildly-dancing revelers toast the grape harvest in Glazunov’s autumn tableaux while country folk sing and dance to the fiddle in Vivaldi’s portrait of a hearty harvest celebration. Resonating from the opposite side of the globe, Piazzolla expresses autumn’s mood of abandonment with the rich rhythms of traditional Argentine tango music. In a violin solo, Salerni employs rhapsodic variations to describe Parco Querni, a beautiful park in Italy. Reflecting the season’s end as autumn leaves gently fall to the ground, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 moves from melancholy movements to a colorful finish. Strad Magazine’s pick of “Up-and-Coming Musicians,” violinist Lindsay Deutsch, brings great passion and energy to the AutumnFest repertoire.

Lindsay Deutsch, Violin - Hailed by the L.A. Times as having “… the technical equipment and temperament for a big career…,” American violinist, Lindsay Deutsch, brings a fresh perspective to classical performances. Taking the listening experience to the next level, she plays with a passion and energy that have thrilled audiences throughout the United States and Canada. Critics find that she demonstrates at 23 “…fine maturity even during the most physical and demanding passages” (San Francisco Classical Voice), and “…has a stage presence and style far beyond her years and a charisma that enthralled her audience.” (LCF Outlook – La Canada, CA) www.lindsaydeutsch.com
