Striperfest 2013, Marina Park, Scranton Avenue, Falmouth Harbor
Season-ending celebration of the striped bass and the Striper Cup Tournament from noon to 7:00pm.
Demonstration rides in Vineyard Sound on Yamaha's V6 Offshore outboards will begin at 9a.m. The day-long party will feature live music from Dee Water Blues, beer, food from the Black Dog Tavern, prizes and plenty of fishing stories.
Other events include gams for the kids, a casting competition, tackle demonstration, the Cow Gallery, fishy exhibits and more.
All tournament participants will be entered in a drawing for a new boat. See www.onthewater.com for tournament rules and entry fees. Ticket to the festival: $10, children under 17 are admitted free.
