    The American Red Cross, Cape Cod and Islands Chapter, will hold an Adult & Child CPR/AED and First Aid class on September 11, 2010 at the Y.M.C.A. of Marthas Vineyard, 111R Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, Vineyard Haven. The Adult & Child CPR/AED class will be held from 8:30 am 1:30 p.m. and costs $65. For those who also wish to stay for the First Aid portion, this lasts till 4:30 p.m. and costs $80 for the full Adult & Child CPR/AED and First Aid class. The Adult& Child CPR/AED & First Aid class covers rescue breathing, first aid for choking, recognizing a heart attack, and Adult CPR and AED knowledge as well as skills necessary to recognize and care for injuries and sudden illness. The First Aid certification is valid for three years and the CPR/AED certification is valid for one year. Students will receive training manuals and certification cards.
