The theme of the seminar is to help you, “Create photographs instead of just taking snapshots.” The speaker, Mr. Arnold John Kaplan, APSA-AFIAP has over 70 years of photographic experience. He will present the following subjects: “The Technique Of Cloning”’ “What Is White Balance”, “Fun With Editing”, “Here’s The Scene. Where’s The Picture”, ”Cape Cod Fantasy” and “My favorite Garden”.

Over the years Mr. Kaplan has presented a dozen all day photo seminars and over 400 Photo-Ed color slide presentations to camera clubs and civic groups.

He has won many awards, including “Best Of Show.” Gold and Silver Medals and was a Star Exhibitor in International Photographic Salon Exhibitions. He is a juried photographer at the Cape Cod Art Association and an artist member of the Yarmouth Art Guild.

Locally his photographs have been exhibited at the Cape Cod Museum Of Art, The Cultural Center Of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Art Association

He is a member of the Photographic Society of America and they awarded him their high honor of "Associate" (APSA) in 1974 and in 1976 was awarded the title of "Artiste" (AFIAP) by the International Photographic Art Society of Europe.

He has been photographing the New England Photo Scene for the past forty years and is the author of the famous Vermont photographer’s guide “How To Find And Photograph The Photo-Scenics In Vermont”

The Photographic Society Of Cape Cod meets on the second and fourth Wednesday evenings of every month, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at the Cultural Center Of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth, Mass.
