Description:
The Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce is organizing its 4th annual Vintage Motorcycle Show on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
This show, which will take place in Barnstable Village, is one of a kind for the area. Barnstable Village is the perfect site for this fun, family friendly event, because of its picturesque history!
The family-friendly event is free to attendees. Route 6A will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 10 a.m. for setup.
For a whole new generation of motorcyclists, the show is a Cape doorway to a simpler time of air-cooled motors, classic designs and laid-back competition. Motorcycles on display are at least 35 years old (pre-1980 or older). Show proceeds are used to cover operational costs for this not-for-profit event.
Whether one is a vintage motorcycle enthusiast, looking for a fun-filled family activity, or simply wanting to learn more about these intriguing vehicles, the show will be a great way to get out in the autumn weather, set against the venerable backdrop of one of Cape Cods most historic and picturesque villages.
