Elizabeth Bougerol co-founder and frontwoman of powerhouse jazz revivalists The Hot Sardines is capping a decade of leading her simply phenomenal (The Times) little big band with a sold-out 2024 Carnegie Hall debut, their 60th show at Birdland, and her first solo project: An all-new evening of re- imagined, NOLA-inspired jazz and blues all about joy seizing the day and savoring life with classics from Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, and the Platters. Introducing all-original arrangements with and by four-time Emmy winner J. Walter Hawkes, and featuring Obie winner Matt Ray (Bridget Everett, Taylor Mac) on piano and vocals, Elizabeths new show has already sold out multiple shows at Joes Pub and Birdland in its fall 24 debut.
