The Catholic Cancer Support Group at Our Lady of Victory, a Malta Ministry, is pleased to announce that it has secured international author and presenter Professor Marcy Smith who will speak on Strength for the Journey: Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit at the next monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory in Centerville. The meeting will start with a Mass and Anointing of the Sick at Our Lady of Victory Church at 6 p.m., and then it moves over to the Parish Center for speaker Professor Marcy JT Smith at 7 p.m. Professor Marcy JT Smith, MS RN FAIS, BCETS is a member of the faculty at Cape Cod Community College within the Department of Health Science and Nursing. She is a renowned international author and presenter on stress related topics and she has consulted internationally for populations impacted by traumatic stressors. She is the founder of Stress Concepts, which provides scientifically based consultation for stress intervention and management. Professor Smith recently helped train 4000+ trauma therapists in Italy and she serves on the Board of the Cape and Islands Emergency Medical System. Come join us for conversation, support, and sharing of information. The Catholic Cancer Support Group of Our Lady of Victory is a Malta ministry and is faith based, but all are welcome: cancer patients, survivors, family and friends. Reservations are not needed. Future meetings will continue to take place at Our Lady of Victory at 230 South Main Street, Centerville on every second Tuesday of the month.
