The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Womens Association (ABWA) will announce six Scholarship Awards and introduce the new officers at its upcoming networking / dinner meeting at The Radisson Hotel's Garden Room, 287 Iyannough Road, Hyannis on August 10th, 2010. The evening will kick off with networking at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program at 6:00 p.m..

The cost for members is $20, guests $25 with a reservation made by Wednesday, August 4th. To make reservations, contact JoAnna Watson at 508-685-6561 or send an email to reserve@abwacapecod.org. Payment is expected for all reservations. If you find you cannot attend at the last minute, consider sending a coworker or friend in your place.

Providing scholarships to support women is a major part of the mission of the American Business Womens Association. Funds are raised during the monthly business meetings and through various activities during the year.

Outgoing President Courtney Garcia of Yarmouth Port says:"Thanks to a very generous donation from Geek Girl Camps, we are able to provide six $1,500 scholarships to women who are continuing their education. The August Scholarship award presentation is always a very inspirational event".
