Description:
Presented by Big Collage, Let Freedom Ring! is an evening of art, music and video. Join us as we celebrate freedom of the artistic spirit and the independence of the creative mind. Visual art showcased will include drawings and paintings by cartoonist and illustrator Ned Sonntag, photo collage by photographer and multimedia artist Jay Elliot, sculpture and installation by artist Kat Cope, and revolutionary fashion design by Kandied Apple. Musicians performing include singer/songwriter Ron HeXe (lead singer/guitarist of Ghoul Squad), the pensive and moody sounds of The Hurtful Sisters, and surf meets garage rock jams by The Future Sounds of Harwich. Visually stunning and thematic video collage by Harley Gardner. Refreshments will be served. Several items including Big Collage books, CD and DVD releases, and other hand crafted curiosities will be available for purchase at the event. There is no cover charge, but donations are welcome. Big Collage is a multimedia, multi generational collective dedicated to showcasing coherent works by independent Cape Cod artists. The collective presents a series of events put together like a big collage, combining different media elements and artists. Music, video projections, visual art and installations blend together to create a themed environment. Big Collage seeks to give artists an outlet and an opportunity to network, collaborate, and to present to Cape Cod and its communities a unique look at art and performance that stretches beyond the main stream. New active and supporting members are always welcome. The best way to understand the concept behind Big Collage is to spend an evening with us!
