Description:
'Sally's Party' celebrates Wellfleet gallery owner
For the first time in a decade, the Cherry Stone Gallery in Wellfleet will open its doors for a public gathering Tuesday night. The occasion is a new exhibition and gala in honor of the late Sally Nerber, who founded the gallery with her business and life partner, Lizzie Upham, 45 years ago.
The open-to-the-public gala will include cocktails, food, live music, dancing and, of course, art.
The Sallys Party exhibition will be on display for eight weeks and feature a blend of work by early- to late-20th-century artists as well as contemporary U.S. artists. The pieces will include photographs, prints, paintings and sculpture, according to information from the gallery.
