Description:
This talk, given by a PT at Genesis Healthcare Mashpee Center, will focus on how seniors can best navigate safely in the community. Just like Physical Therapy evaluates how to ambulate safely in the home setting, they also evaluate how people navigate in their outside environment; this includes stairs, uneven surfaces and other potential obstacles. Discussion will focus on different types of equipment for safe navigation and will include safety tips to help prevent falls/accidents in the community.
