The audience will learn ways to include legacy fundraising in their overall fundraising plan. Theyll hear real-life examples on how best to steward donors after they tell you they leave you in their will. Theyll learn how to develop a planned giving recognition society and how to engage board members in the process. Finally, they will receive some guidance on wording to use and when its wise to involve professionals. About the speakers: Priya McCue is Chief Development Officer at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, leading a team of 14 to raise funds for science, technology and education at the institution. WHOI raised $18.5 million in private support in 2012. Prior to her arrival in 2009, Priya spent 12 years in development at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), beginning as an assistant director in Corporate and Foundation Relations, and reaching the position of Associate Vice President for Development before leaving the institute. During her career at DFCI, Priya managed corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, gift planning, and corporate-cause marketing and sponsorship, as well as the institutes Palm Beach fundraising activities. Areas overseen by Priya generated nearly $50 million annually. In addition, Priya played a key role in DFCIs $1 billion capital campaign. Priya is a graduate of Cornell University and began her development career at the universitys regional office in Boston. She resides in Marshfield, MA with her husband and two daughters. Emily M. Kellndorfer is Shareholder at Hilton & Bishop Law Firm in Falmouth. She practices estate planning and probate and trust administration, preparation of estate tax returns, and estate and gift tax planning including charitable planning. Before moving to Cape Cod in 2005, she was a shareholder at Bodman PLC, a large and highly regarded law firm in Michigan.

Ms. Kellndorfer is authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. She is a graduate of University of Michigan Law School and Smith College. She is a member of the Wisconsin, Michigan, and Massachusetts Bars.
